Background & Experience
One of Bart’s fondest memories of helping people in real estate was when a former client one day introduced him to his grandson, telling Bart that thanks to his successful negotiation of a long-term lease, the boy would receive cash flow for years to come.
After graduating from USL in 1990, Bart moved to Orlando, FL to experience a dynamic, growing real estate market. He brought these experiences home and after becoming a broker, he opened his own group, Absolute Realty in 1994. Nine years later he sold to Coldwell Banker, wanting to focus on the face-to-face relationships with his clients. His work is concentrated on commercial sales, leasing, and development in the Lafayette, Iberia, and St. Martin Parish markets.
Bart specializes in Industrial Property, Professional Office Space, and Land. His passion, tenacity, and philosophy of “enjoy what you do” have taken him far: Named a Silver Circle of Distinction winner five years in a row, a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Elite Group, and Top Producer in Commercial Sales and Leasing for several years are a testimony to his success.
A member of the Realtor’s Commercial Alliance, he currently serves as Member at Large on the Board of Directors for RCA.
Outside of the office, Bart has maintained an active role in the Iberia Parish community, fulfilling roles such as Vice-Chairman of the Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce, appointee on the City of New Iberia Planning and Zoning Commission, and a graduate of Leadership Iberia. He spends any free time traveling with his family, supporting his youngest son on the baseball field, or enjoying himself on the water with family and friends.
Bart and his wife, Tracy, have three sons: Carter, a junior at the University of Central Arkansas, Webb, a freshman at LSU and Cole, an 8th grader at Catholic High New Iberia.
